Oh yeah, it's another week of the BROOKE show. Maybe the powers that be
should On Monday's show Brooke and Nick decide to come back to LA with Stephanie to 'save' Ridge. This is, of course, after Nick had yet more harsh words for Stephanie. When Brooke is finally in Ridge's room, she declared her love to him, and magically, he woke up. It's a MIRACLE! This prompted Stephanie, whose always been Brooke's #1 enemy to want to make amends with her because, as she sees it, Brooke saved Ridge's life. Stephanie tells Brooke that she turned over a new leaf and she appreciates her now and yada, yada, yada. She is grateful and wants to show it to her, not merely say it. What does La Forrester have in mind? We find out later in the week, and it's really wild, hard for me to believe, really, but, as a mother, I understand it. Of course, before this happens, Stephanie has to hear everyone and their mother (literally in the case of Nick and Jackie) cuss her out. Typical, isn't it?
The day of the press conference Brooke arrives in Ridge's room with RJ,
and Ridge promises the tyke to take him to the Zoo. Not sure if RJ really
understands or cares about the Zoo.
At the press conference Stephanie has an elaborate tribute for Brooke,
announced that the profitable Men and Brooke's Bedroom Lines were
back into production and further stated that she was going to step down as CEO and
wanted to make Brooke the new CEO and even offered her 50% of the stock!
Brooke just stood there, speechless, not cracking a smile, looking like
she was confused. Brooke is the most confused person I have ever watched
on daytime television. Will she accept? We know she will. Career has
always been more important than family to her, to hell what Nick wants, to
hell what her kids need. What kind of tantrum is Nick (and his
mother) are Earlier in the week, Felicia and Dante seem a bit ad odds with each other. They want to explain to one another the 'kiss' but it seems to me like they are both a bit confused on the whole matter. I must say, Felicia looks cute with her foulard on her head that matches her clothes! Leave it to her to make a fashion statement even with a bald head. One can only wonder if she really has feelings for Dante or what's going on here. Bridget has been so supportive of her husband-stealing mother at this point I think she deserves to be man-less for a while. Maybe someday when she can talk to Stephanie with some respect I may like her again. sly @ 11:11 AM -----------------------------------------
What a sad, sappy week. I am not sure if I am more revolted by Stephanie
wanting to be Brooke's
The week starts with Ridge collapsed on the floor, and a frantic Stephanie
calling 911. Who else would come and rescue Ridge but Hector and his crew?
Who else would help in the operation but Christian, Felicia's Doctor (who
I thought worked at a private clinic, not the University Hospital)? Are
there any other fire rescue/doctors in LA? At any rate... Stephanie feels
guilty. She recalls Ridge's last words to her "you took away my
life" (i.e. Brooke) and she feels she caused Ridge's heart attack and
possible demise. This of course isn't true. As the Doctor explains, his
heart defect was something genetic, but Stephanie feels guilty
nonetheless. Ridge, in his comatose state, can only utter one word over
and over again... BROOKE. Ugh. Brooke in the meantime is in Cabo San
Lucas, Mexico, with Nick, and having the time of her life, not caring the
least bit about Ridge. I find it weird that nobody calls her. Not Bridget,
not Jackie, not Eric. Wouldn't they think Brooke ought to know that Ridge
is knocking at death's door? Apparently We then see Dante, who has just proposed to Bridget, and she says no. He's not very happy about it, and we later have scenes during the week where Dante and Felicia get quite cozy and smoochy... Bridget who? I can't help but wonder about Dante's motives. Does he REALLY have feelings for Felicia, or since Bridget turned him down he feels maybe he can get his hands on Felicia and get her to marry him? I am confused by this character to say the least. Felicia is very vulnerable right now and he might be taking advantage of the situation, being Dino's father and all... hmmm... makes you think. Jackie and Stephen, in the meantime, are getting cozy themselves. Stephen has no love lost for Eric and cannot wait to bad mouth him to Jackie by telling her what he did to Beth (but what about what YOU did to Beth sweetie?) and before we know it, Stephen plants a big one on a surprised Jackie. Here's my question to the writers: Why does Brooke always have to be in the center of everything? sly @ 11:39 AM -----------------------------------------
Oh yes... no commentary for 3 weeks. The truth is, I was out of town for
10 days and I have about 6 or 7 shows taped on my TIVO that I have yet to
watch, plus I couldn't watch yesterday's show due to an appointment so I
am way behind! The storyline of the first of these past three weeks revolved around Megan and her involvement with Massimo and their plan to get and keep Jackie in the slammer for bogus charges. I must admit this was an interesting pairing, Megan and Massimo... hmmm... Nick is convinced that his father is behind all of this because Massimo wants Brooke to be with Ridge and not him, so he declared war on his father. Amazingly he is then able to blow the cover on daddy dearest as Megan confesses to what they have done. Later Nick informs the board of the scheme and they vote Massimo out and Nick in as the new CEO of Marone industries. Something tells me that Massimo will not let it lie... and if the writers know what's good for the show, they won't. Massimo is a very powerful man with a lot of connections and should be able to come out on top no matter what... we'll see. I would like to see yet another Mafia like scene like we've seen when Deacon was around... that would be entertaining!
We then have Bridget and Dante, as selfish
In the meantime, Brooke is at the center of yet another "damsel in
distress" routine. At first, Ridge brings her father, Stephen, to
talk to her to be in his corner and try to convince her that she belongs
with Ridge. Brooke is upset because she despises her dad, and we see
crocodile tears, la-di-la. Boring. Something though... One last plea to the writers... give Taylor a storyline! I am sick of her needing to back peddle into a Brooke's story. I realize she now has a thing for Nick, but... isn't Hector a much better suitor for her? sly @ 10:42 AM -----------------------------------------
Oh boy! I am not sure what to think about this week, although I must
confess, it's pretty funny to see Ms.
The week starts with Nick getting a call from his mother-from jail. She is
horrified to be there and treated like a criminal and does not even know
why. It's then revealed she in there for tax fraud, tax evasion and money
laundering, a charge that she adamantly refused. Ridge is livid to see
pics from Nick's pirate adventure on Nick's desk (when did Nick get the
time to get a roll developed or photos out and printed from the digital
camera in record time no-one knows) but Massimo tells him to let him 'take
care of it'. The next day Ridge sees Nick and Brooke together, all
lovey-dovey, but Massimo tells him he's got everything under 'control'.
Daddy Massimo will get Brooke back for him, no matter what it takes. Too
bad for Ridge if Brooke does not take him back after Massimo forces Nick
out of the picture... which will not happen. Ridge tells daddy dearest to
hurry because if he doesn't succeed he'll take matters on his own hands...
brr... I am shivering! NOT! Hmmm... Nick asks for his father's help in
getting his mother out on bail, but seems as if Mr. Marone wants something
in return... you guess it! He wants Nick to leave Brooke for Ridge. Could
Massimo be behind Jackie's arrest? It may seem so, since the
Meanwhile at the Forrester's mansion, Ridge, Thorne, Darla and Kristen
(back once again for yet another one show appearance) arrive to a
candle-lit room. They all think Stephanie has gone off the deep end and
needs serious help. When Stephanie and Eric arrive they try to tell them
the news of Felicia being alive, but end up getting Felicia It's late and Nick is at the Jackie M store trying to gather some evidence of her mother's innocence. The judge had stated that the incriminating evidence came directly from Jackie's computer, so he wanted to check things out for himself. When he heard a noise he goes over to his mother's office, peaked in and there was Megan! Is this the same Megan that is Brooke's loyal friend and confidante? Something is rotten in Kansas Toto!! Sadly there was no miss Taylor on my screen this week. Spoilers don't show her for next week either. Please Mr. Bell! Give us a great Taylor storyline! sly @ 11:42 AM -----------------------------------------
The only thing that saved this week from the monotonous Brooke scenes (I
will be going to Arizona The week starts with Dr. Ramirez and brother Hector (I actually think Mario Lopez looks more like he would be Dante's brother, not Hector, but.. ok) attending a barbecue at Bridget and Dante's with Thorne and Darla. Since when is Hector a good friend of Dante and Bridget? Did I miss something? But, I digress. Christian (Dr. Ramirez has a first name!) has no idea who these people are, but he does figure it out when he sees the baby and he realizes that the 'sister that died of cancer' that Bridget keeps mentioning is his patient Felicia! Christian then goes over to talk to Stephanie and tells her that she MUST tell the family that Felicia is okay, and Stephanie hesitates because she's not sure Felicia will pull through, but the news are good. Felicia is doing better than good. The cancer is in remission, the new liver took, and she's not dying anytime soon.
Nick takes Brooke and the kidos in a 'pirate adventure' on the Shady
Marlin and they spend the night on one of the islands nearby (did not
realize there were islands outside of LA, hmmm...). In the meantime, Felicia is waking up, and when she finds out that her mother saved her, she is grateful and thankful. When she asks to see her baby, Stephanie and Eric go over to tell Bridget and Dante to come over to the hospital for a 'surprise'. Bridget is amazed and thankful that her sister is alive, but in the end you can possibly see her thinking that this means that she will lose the baby she thought she was going to raise as her own. Interesting scenes to come. In my view Bridget is headed for a major nervous breakdown, and if not, she should. Nobody can deal with all that she has dealt with without needing some help. Maybe Taylor will be there to help her, once someone helps Taylor. Taylor needs to be redeemed in my view, I am tired of all this trash-talk and make her look like she has completely lost it. Taylor is better than that.
More interesting scenes this week involved Jackie (since Taylor is nowhere
to be seen). When she finds out that Felicia is alive, she is none too
pleased because she knows that this means that Eric will not divorce
Stephanie. She is angry and upset but in the end she tells Eric she will
keep waiting for him (what a moron), and while she's alone drowning in her
sorrow, some policemen arrive, handcuff her and take her away. The scene
fades to Massimo, all pleased (surely he had something to do with it),
listening to an Opera in the background. And people think Stephanie was
manipulating! Meet the new villain in town!
sly @ 12:38 PM -----------------------------------------
I really enjoyed this week's episodes. Stephanie is at Felicia's bed side and things are looking grim. Hearing Dr. Lopez...err, Dr. Ramirez say that Felicia needed a reason to live, Stephanie rushes out of the clinic and goes over to Dante's house to get Dominick, hoping that Felicia would respond to her baby. A puzzled Bridget agreed, and the baby was indeed the miracle worker Stephanie hoped he would be. Within moments of Dominick being at Felicia's side, with her hand on his heart, Felicia's heartbeat improved and her condition stabilized. Taylor and Nick have a few scenes together this week. In one Taylor visits Nick on the boat and warns him about Brooke's past. Yep, she had many soulmates over the years (to say the least), she wants the captain to keep his eyes open. Later on (not sure if the same day or some other day, I'm losing track) it's Nick that visits a passed out drunk Taylor at her house. Reversing the roles, Nick tries to help Taylor realizing that she's not an alcoholic, but just a wannabe.
In the meantime, at Forrester's Creations, Ridge is paying Brooke yet
another visit. Brooke is none too pleased about it, and reveals that she
would never get back together with a man that hurt her children as much as
her father In another little, yet significant scene, Eric is with Jackie as they make plans to spend the rest of their lives together. He goes over to see Stephanie to ask for the divorce when Stephanie reveals she has something to tell him. Being unable to keep this to herself any longer, she brings Eric to see Felicia at the clinic. In true Eric fashion (it's nice when the writers make the same character react similarly at shocking events! Kudos to Mr. Bell!), he's furious at first, telling Stephanie that Felicia would not want this. Felicia, however better, is not out of the woods by any stretch of the imagination. Her liver is failing and it will poison the rest of the body, she needs a new one. Stephanie tells the Doctor that she's a perfect match, but Dr. Ramirez tells her that the transplant would most likely kill her than save Felicia. Not wanting to take NO for an answer, knowing that even just a portion of her liver (or was it a kidney? I am getting my organs mixed up. I thought it was a liver, but the CBS website states it's a kidney, while every other place they say liver. I am losing my mind!) would save Felicia's life, Stephanie accepts the consequences. "I've had my life", she states, "my daughter's life has just begun".
Agreeing to the surgery, a shocked Eric is very Eric: "Stephanie, I can't lose you."
Just as the funny medicine is taking effect, Dr. Ramirez comes into the
room to announce they found a perfect kidney/liver match for Felicia.
Stephanie does not have to go through the operation after all.

With only three shows last week, and It's a sad day in LA and Taylor is making the rounds to talk to Brooke first, and then Nick, hoping neither will say anything to Ridge about her drunken behavior the night before. The night before she had Stephanie's help, but now she's running around solo. I am not sure why she cares what Ridge thinks anyway, it's evident she does not want Ridge back, yet she does when she's drunk, so it's all very confusing. She has this gorgeous man, Hector, falling all over her, and she isn't noticing. Sad. It's nice how the writers decided to have Nick come around and make him like Taylor. Taylor has done nothing to him, so he has no reason to treat her like he did. It seems as if Taylor is also slightly developing feelings for him... which she denies to Stephanie, but they are evident when he catches Nick and Brooke kissing on the Marlin.
Oh yes, Brooke and Nick are an item again by the end of the week. Ridge is
none too pleased about it. He had pleas and insane 'you will be mine'
behavior toward Brooke this whole time. He had even decided (without
asking!) to live in Brooke's guest house (Brooke has a guest house?) until
she was 'ready', to which Brooke said NO WAY! He's even a stalker now,
peeping through windows. Pathetic if you ask me. Bridget had the divorce
papers ready in no time and urged Nick to sign them so he can be with her
mother. This gal is too much if you ask me. Who I am worried about is poor
little Hope. She is going to need some serious therapy. First her
biological father was married to her sister when she was conceived. He
left and hasn't been heard from since. Then Nick comes along and plays
daddy. Then Ridge comes back
The week though, belongs to Stephanie. Apparently, after everyone had left
the guest house when Felicia supposedly died, the ambulance arrived and
found a faint heartbeat. They immediately drove her over to a secretive
Medical Center where they hooked her up to life support. Stephanie, unsure
of what to do, and wanting to help her daughter, gave the green light to
the Drs to start an aggressive round of chemo and then proceed with a
liver transplant in hoping to save her life. However, she is unsure what
to tell the family, who thinks she died. Over and over again the family
had told Stephanie to "let her die" and she knew if they knew
she was still alive, they would not let her try to save her, so at this
time, she says nothing. When Eric organizes a little memorial ceremony,
Dr. Ramirez (Hector's brother, nonetheless!) tells her that it's
appropriate, and Stephanie thinks Felicia will die soon. No need to put
the family's hopes up. The ceremony for Felicia's life was a tearjerker
for me. Eric started the proceedings with a lovely poem written by Henry
Scott Holland, 1847-1918. Kristen attended this memorial as well, as did most of the cast and the slide show drove me to tears. Bridget, Thorne, Kristen and the Forrester family remember Felicia fondly. It was beautiful. Later that evening Dr. Ramirez summons Stephanie to see Felicia, who all of a sudden is improving. They decide to take her off life support and start preparations for the liver transplant. In order to be on the liver donor list she has to be off life support. Stephanie makes a plea to her daughter to 'hang on'. In the meantime, Dante is making his moves toward Bridget in his apartment. Bridget is determined to be a good mother to Felicia's son (I hope they change his name, it's too confusing to call him Dominick right now... may I suggest DJ?) and Dante knows that. He loves her and wants them to be a family. A lovely and passionate kiss at the end is making me hopeful! Bridget and Dante are HOT!! sly @ 11:57 AM -----------------------------------------
It was a sad and really strange week this week on The week starts with the wedding guests wondering what's going on upstairs after Nick came in and, in true caveman fashion, took Brooke upstairs over his shoulders after stopping the wedding between her and Ridge. Bridget later arrives and tells Brooke and Ridge that it was her decision to leave Nick and have him stop the wedding, while Stephanie and Jackie, for once on the same side of the fence, agree that Brooke should be with Nick. Massimo on the other hand, is dead set with Brooke staying with Ridge and raising their son together, and does not want Nick to be with Brooke. It seems as everyone is meddling and offering their unsolicited opinion... as usual! Even those who hate that (namely, Brooke and Ridge) have heavily meddled into THEIR own children's lives, so they truly should not even complain about it! 'Nuff said.
In the meantime, Dante is with Felicia, she is very weak and death is
imminent. Dante summons the entire family over to Stephanie's guest house
and everyone says their good-byes. Per Felicia’s wish, the family shares
one last champagne toast. Stephanie calls in the ambulance, not wanting to
give up on her daughter, and after a plea to Fifi to keep fighting,
Felicia cries, says 'Help Me' and supposedly dies in Stephanie's arms.
Everyone is devastated. I have to say that Susan Flannery's performance
was magnificent. I hope she wins that Daytime Emmy once again! That
performance of a
Ridge needs comforting, so Massimo takes him to see Brooke. Nick has the
same idea (to see Brooke) but when he arrives there and almost
enters Brooke's bedroom, he sees a nearly naked Brooke in bed on top of a
nearly naked Ridge. Upset, he leaves and goes over to Chuck's Bar where he
wants to get toasted. Taylor had been in that very same bar for a while,
Hector had come to meet her there and she told him how she was happy that
maybe Ridge would be free of Brooke since Nick stopped the wedding, but
she was also very upset about Felicia's death. Hector then was called off
on his pager. He takes Taylor's keys and gives them to the bartender and
tells him to call a cab for her. Now... for the question of the week...
how in the world did Taylor pick Chuck's Bar may I ask? I know she said
she did not want to go to the Cafe Rousse and being forced to answer
questions and avoid stares, but... Chuck's Bar? This is about as credible
as Amber accidentally seeing Ridge in Venice... just convenient storyline
plots!! At any rate, Taylor sees Nick and goes over to commiserate with
him. When he tells her that he had just seen Ridge and Brooke in bed
together they both get plastered. Nick then leaves, but Taylor, realizing
she does not have her keys or any money to get back home, follows Nick to
the I must say... it's upsetting to me to see how much Taylor is really hurting while Brooke, as always, has everyone in love with her. I do hope that Taylor wakes up and forgets about Ridge, it's sad how the writers are making her into a drunk, she has too much class for that. sly @ 11:27 AM -----------------------------------------
There was no commentary last week, I apologize for that. Time got away
from me! I am Last week started with the bombshell of everyone finding out that baby Dominick is not really Nick's son, but Dante's offspring. Bridget was upset, but was still determined to raise the baby as she promised to her dying sister. Nick, however, devastated by the news, is not so sure he can. Bridget then goes over to see Dante and see if he would let Nick and her raise/adopt the baby, but Dante tells Bridget that he's fine with Bridget being the mother of his baby, but that he wants to raise the boy as well, with her. He moved in Deacon's old pad (anyone's noticed?) and even bought a crib etc. Bridget is upset and tells Dante she was not going to leave Nick to raise Dominick with him, however, after she goes back home and talks to Nick about it she realizes something. Nick is not willing to raise another man's son... with her. But, he would be perfectly fine to raise little Hope and RJ with her mother, which brings up the question of how much he really loves her. A grief striken Bridget makes the decision to leave Nick and let her mother have him.
In the meantime, Stephanie, God Bless her meddling heart, goes over to see
Brooke to tell her that it would be best for everyone if Bridget
The wedding day comes and everyone arrives, but it seems a bit rushed. But
of course is rushed... how many times have these two gotten married
before? Five, Six? I've lost count. They just want to get it over with.
Jackie is there for some reason (she is not related to either the bride or
the groom, is she? Although she does spill the beans to Massimo about
Dominick's paternity and sides with Stephanie as far as Brooke belonging
with Nick, so all in all I was glad she was there) and also Sally
shouldn't be there since she hates Logan's guts, doesn't she? But Sally is
always found around when a Forrester wedding train wreck is. She just
smells them! What is more telling, however, is who is not there. None of
Brooke's children are there (not even RJ) and none of Ridge's The only time we see Taylor these past couple of weeks is when she is talking to Thomas (and how sweet that he's standing fast for her mother and refused to attend his dad's wedding! What a sweetie! ) and she gets a phone call from Stephanie that informs her that the wedding between Ridge and Brooke is not happening. sly @ 11:29 AM -----------------------------------------
Oh yes, it was an interesting week without a doubt! Finding out that Dante
was Dominick's father instead of
It was early in the week when Dante confronts Felicia and asks her to find
out if baby Dominick is actually his son. Fifi refuses, and throws him a
'A mother knows' BS on him. We all know that there was no mother instinct
involved, just wishful thinking on her part that the daddy was Nick, but
it seems as if The Powers That Be do not want Nick to be a father! First
the baby he was supposedly having with Brooke turns out to be Ridge's,
then he and Bridget lose Nicole, and now he will be facing yet another
loss of a child he thought was his. I am not exactly a Nick's fan, but
give this poor guy a break for crying out loud!! At any rate, Dante asks
for Taylor's help in convincing Felicia to run a paternity test, and the
good Doctor helps not only convince Felicia (by telling her that, for
medical reasons, the baby should know who the bio-dad is), but uses her
influence to run a drive-thru discreet paternity test at the hospital.
When the truth comes out Felicia is devastated and when Stephanie finds
out... well... we all know the reaction wasn't a good one! She never liked
the idea of her daughter 'sleeping around with guys she picks up at bars',
and when Fifi tells her mother that at least 'she' didn't wait 40 years...
In the meantime, Ridge surprises Brooke with trashy lingerie, dozens of Valentine's Day cards and a room full of candles. Brooke isn't amused and tells him to leave a few times. However, we see her wall cracking, as Ridge makes plea after plea. We even hear one of Ronn Moss' new songs in a montage of Brooke and Ridge through the years. OK, I have to admit it, the song wasn't too bad, and the montage was stomachable, considering it was Valentine's Day, but please, spare us anymore gushy "Bridge Unforgettable" mushy stuff for a while now, PLEASE??
Of course this week we still see the devastation of Bridget and Nick over
the loss of their
There are a few things worth mentioning that happened this week... sly @ 10:44 AM -----------------------------------------
If last week was a sad week for B&B, this week was even more sad, if
that could be possible. It reminded me of when Amber lost her babies, only
it seems as if she The week starts with Hector rescuing Taylor from the side of the road-okay... it wasn't explained how he found her, but what really upset me is that there is so much they could have done with this incident and the storyline, yet all we see is Taylor thanking Hector, him asking her to volunteer at the shelter and then him leaving. That's it? Ugh! I was left wanting more.
Instead of a fresh storyline like above, including my idea of Bridget
trying to find Amber, we are instead shown Ridge pleading for Brooke over
and over again. It's like an old record that's been playing for nearly 20
years. Brooke is holding her ground for now, but surely that won't last. I
see it a mile away. The stupidest dialogue does belong to Ridge this week.
In the meantime, Felicia, who does not feel well, wants to go to the
hospital to see Bridget. Eric helps her and when she gets to the hospital
she goes in to see her half-sister while Nick goes home and gets a few
things since the Dr. won't let Bridget go home. While the sisters talk
Bridget's water breaks and the baby has to be delivered. In a few shocking
and extremely sad scenes it's evident the baby is stillborn and the
Doctors are unable to resuscitate the tiny infant. I had several problems
with this storyline because, as I said, I had a stillborn baby myself. The
main one is that Bridget has to ASK to see her daughter. That is not
what happens in today's hospitals... when I lost my son and when I had
friends lose babies, the hospital staff gets the baby ready, in a blanket
and they ask the mom if she's 'ready' to see the baby. They know that it's
better to see the baby for closure and they let the mom hold the baby for
however long she wants. They also take pictures-they took pics of my son
and told me they would have them in their file in case I wanted them
later, they certainly did not 'ask' if they 'could' take pictures. When
Nick comes back he's devastated and asks to see the baby. A The saddest part of the week, aside Bridget's loss, is Bridget telling Nick that she realizes that Nick was only with her for the baby and that he could go back together with her mother now. On the other side of town, Eric thinks the same thing. Because of all of that happened, Felicia is now concerned that maybe Nick and Bridget would not be the best home for her son. When Felicia comes home Dante arrives at the house to 'discuss' baby Dominick's future. What is up the sleeve of this Italian Stallion? A paternity test? I can't help but feeling sorry for Nick if this happens. He's had and lost 3 children in the past couple of years... give this guy a break!! sly @ 11:36 AM -----------------------------------------
It was a sad, sad week on B&B this week. Tragedy is looming for a few
Forrester femmes, and Ridge The week starts with the dancing and party after Eric and Stephanie's wedding. These few episodes were really magical, and I am so in love with Lesli Kay! After she collapsed in her daddy's arms and got up again, you could really feel the love... I am so sad to see this character go, but at least she is going out with a bang. Tragedy is looming, and I am not looking forward to it. It will be a tearjerker. I am looking forward to the scenes with Stephanie! She has managed to make me cry a few times already when she is upset about Felicia.
In the meantime Hector is in Ridge's face, telling him to stay away from a
hurt Taylor. Taylor resigns from FC because she cannot work with Ridge,
and later gives Ridge his walking papers-she makes him sign an annulment.
I know some Brooke's fans have stated that Taylor is deplorable because
she is not 'fighting' for her man, but to me she's just doing what she
feels is best for HER. Taylor can do better than Ridge... she now has her
pick of foxy Hector or sexy Dante... two men who do not act like Brooke's
puppy dogs. That should be majorly important to Taylor right now.
Why would anyone want a man in love with someone else? Well... maybe
Brooke, but perhaps, just perhaps, Brooke is wisening up. Yes, Brooke does
not want Ridge 'now', but we all know sooner or later they'll get back
together. It's just a matter of time. Ridge knows it too... While enjoying a romantic evening with a dinner ordered from the Cafe Rousse with Nick, Bridget decides she would like the baby’s name to be Nicole-after 'Nick'. Suddenly Bridget feels a sharp pain and collapses. Nick rushes her to the ER and the Dr gives Bridget some medication to stop the contractions, and it works-for the time being anyway. Tragedy is looming. But what will this means for the 'Nicket' marriage? Without the baby, will Brooke become once again a threat to their marriage?
My star of the week is Thomas, who is fighting for his mom. He sees her at
home all upset Taylor is at home alone and is trying to celebrate with Champagne and loud music. It does not work for the most part, she collapses several times and throws pictures of Ridge & Her around. She then stares at a particular picture of Ridge for a while in tears. Earlier Hector was there but she chased him away. She finished the Champagne and is now enjoying a bottle of Chardonnay. Hector calls, he's worried about her and does not think she should be alone. Taylor tells him she's about to go to Cafe' Rousse for dinner (are there any other restaurants in town?) and Hector offers her a ride. She refuses and gets into her car. While driving, all upset remembering their wedding, their vows and more, Ridge calls Taylor. Taylor picks up the phone and tells him she does not need his help. When Taylor gets off her cell phone in her car, she is emotional and distracted and... we hear screams, breaks, lights and noises as her car swerves off the road. Is tragedy looming? Or is this just a catalyst to get Hector and Taylor together? Hmmm... sly @ 11:23 AM -----------------------------------------
Finally! A B&B week that's truly wonderful to watch. I liked a few of
the episodes so much this week that The week starts with Ridge professing his flip-flop love to Brooke and she giving him the boot. But... for how long can miss Logan keep her distance from Ridge? No way I believe it's a permanent thing. Not for a minute. Sooner or later she'll cave. I am betting on it. Of course I wish she wouldn't, and if she doesn't, then I might... just might, start giving this character some sort of respect. It's a wait and see kinda thing. Just because Brooke says 'no', that does not mean that no is permanent.
In the meantime, in Casa Forrester, Stephanie and Eric are having an
interesting conversation that Felicia overhears. Stephanie claims that her
feud w/Brooke is over thanks to the kind and inspiring words of Taylor,
and they both agreed they if they could they would erase some unpleasant
moments from the past for Felicia's sake. Felicia then begs her parents to
be together and re-marry... even if only for her sake and get divorced
soon after she dies. Both Eric and Stephanie are so moved by her speech
they agree. Felicia later found the time to make up a very funny wedding
invitation for 'family only'... it went like this: "By royal decree,
you are hereby commanded to attend the ultimate Forrester family reunion.
The ceremony reuniting grumpy groom Eric Forrester and his reluctant bride
Stephanie Douglas Forrester. Anyone not attending will be talked Later on that day Eric goes over to see Jackie and even proposes to her, ring and all. However, he tells her they have to wait until... well.. basically Felicia dies, to make the announcement of their engagement and get married, since he had agreed to remarry Stephanie for his daughter's sake. Jackie understands, even though is a bit upset. Nick, however, is very upset that Eric may hurt his mother once again and storms over at Casa Forrester to try to stop the wedding. Eric tells him that he's not a father and cannot comprehend what is going on, and when Nick goes over to see Felicia and sees how sick she is, he backs off and allows her this happiness. Nick is of course, not the only one opposed to this fake marriage. Massimo chimes in with Stephanie, telling her how he always loved her. He even asks her if they might have a chance after this farce of a marriage is over... Stephanie is surprised and moved, and tells Mass she cannot promise him anything.
Kristen in the meantime is back in town and is upset at the thought of
losing her sister. At the gathering/wedding, Felicia encourages her family to tell a funny story about their childhood, and the evening turns out to be a complete tearjerker. Everyone chimes in with kind words and funny and warm memories. Darla even has a few words to say, considering that she grew up in foster homes, this family probably means more to her than anyone can imagine. When everyone is done, Felicia then announces that she got what she wanted from them all, and lets Eric and Stephanie off the hook. However, seeing how much this wedding means to Felicia, Eric and Stephanie agree to marry anyway. sly @ 11:54 AM -----------------------------------------
Hmmm... another painful commentary to write. The stories suck right now
and I do hope they improve The entire week was about Ridge being a jerk to Taylor and his children... basically. All of a sudden he thinks Taylor is a hypocrite and cannot forgive her, which makes him a hypocrite since he's forgiven Brooke's far worse misdeeds. Since when keeping a secret for 20 years is worse than Brooke's 2 paternity mix-ups, taking over Forrester, having an affair with her daughter's husband and having his child, declaring her love to her daughter's second husband, betraying him with his father and two half-brother and I could go on... if he can forgive Brooke these things and can't cut Taylor some slack, I say good riddance. Ridge is SICK!!! He and Brooke have always deserved each other. He also states that he needs to be there for his young son MORE than he needs to be there for his 3 teenage children. Pardon me, but RJ is too young to understand anything, and two teenage gals who are 14 or 15 need a stable home far worse than any baby in my book. Plus, he makes his three teenage children drive up to Big Bear (a 2 hour drive one way from LA, mind you) for a 10 minute talk and then have them drive back? What was up with that? Why not tell them at the house? I blame Ridge for this because Taylor was of course devastated and could not think straight.
Ridge is one of those egotistical men that wants his cake and eat it too.
He wants every woman to just bow at his feet. He will soon find out that
Brooke has no intention in getting back together with him (and one can
only hope she sticks to that resolve-it might make me actually like this
character a bit) and I also want Taylor to move on with her life and
forget about
Ridge's ego and arrogance, however, do not end with him being a jerk to
his wife and three teenage children. Brooke of course has no intention, for the time being anyway, to get back with Ridge and goes over to Big Bear (again... a two hour drive! Was this really necessary??) to talk to Ridge since he was not answering his cell phone. Of course she walks in too late to stop Ridge from breaking up with Taylor and the Doc lets her have it. The good doctor is finally telling Brooke what she thinks about her without hesitation! My favorite line of the week indeed belongs to Taylor! Here goes: "Take Ridge! And score one for the whores of the world. As for the rest of us, heaven help us all." You go girl! That's how we all feel around here!! Finally... I must thank the writers for always finding a way to show that hot hunk Dante. He's Italian you know... just like yours truly!! How sweet of him to bring a rose to Taylor and be there for her. I heard there will be more Dante stuff coming soon with Felicia too! Hmm... I never get tired of seeing him!! sly @ 11:51 AM -----------------------------------------
Yes, I know... there was no commentary last week. It's not that I didn't
have time to write or I had nothing to say... my problem was far worse. I
am in absolute disgust over this storyline. If I ever thought that Ridge
was a LOSER on occasion, now I know this is a permanent thing about him.
He is blind and stupid, not to mention selfish and a jerk.
Two weeks ago start with house-breaking Brooke, who waltzes around other
people's houses and opening doors at her leisure, finding Taylor and
Hector kissing. Brooke, who should not be able to say anything because her
track record speaks for herself is horrified... (really Brooke? Why can't
you be horrified at the horrid things you did over the years? UGH) and
Taylor, who should not explain herself to her, tries to explain her
actions, but it does not matter, Brooke leaves her after giving her a
piece of her mind. In the next couple of days, both Taylor and Stephanie
ask Brooke to 'stay out' of Taylor's marriage (funny... Brooke is always
so upset when people meddle in her life, yet has never had any qualms in
meddling in her children's lives, Thomas' love life w/Amber and now seems
hell bent in meddling into Taylor's... the hypocrite) to no avail. Taylor
does end up spilling the beans to Ridge, but she also decides to tell
Ridge about the night she slept with James when they though they were
going to die circa 1994... which is supposedly more than 12 years ago
since Thomas was born after that and he's 18... hence, this supposedly
happened 20 or so years ago!! While Ridge supposedly forgives Taylor for
both the kiss and the 'thing' with James, he is mad because... he feels
she's not the woman he thought she was. Hello? That is the stupidest thing
I have ever heard. If he had discovered that Taylor led a secret life,
maybe married to another men, or stripped on the weekend for years, then
he could say he didn't know who she was. But a one-time lie about meaningless pity sex
with a 40-year old virgin who thought was going to die, does not change a person's entire character.
But what do you expect from LOSER Ridge? He calls Taylor a Another thing that really upset me is how both Brooke and Ridge went on and on how Taylor never "defended" poor Brooke. Why is this about Brooke now? Whatever Taylor dealt out to Brooke, she deserved it! Why would Brooke want defense about her horrid behavior from Taylor? Talk about self-serving!! Brooke never cease to amaze me.
On the
other side of town, something nice for a change. Bridget and Nick get a
visit from Felicia and Dominick and Nick asks Felicia to videotape a
message for the future for her son. What a wonderful and sad scene!
Priceless. Earlier last week, another story that I truly enjoyed was
Thorne and Darla giving Sally the job of receptionist to Sally... did
Maeve Quinlan left the show? Brooke's best friend? Thorne said she got
'promoted'... promoted to what? These were the only stories this week that I actually enjoyed watching. This whole thing with Taylor and Ridge not forgiving her, while he has forgiven Brooke for things way beyond worse is absolutely incomprehensible. In real life a woman like Brooke would have been kicked to the curb and chastised by the whole family and ran off town like Amber has. Amber is the only character that has 'really' paid for her sins on the show. Brooke? She has never paid for anything. Everyone loves her and forgives her and bows at her feet. Where is the decency, the respect, the realistic aspect of the show? Why do the good gals get the short end of the stick? Why does the show glamorizes someone who's slept and married the whole family, even had a child with her own son-in-law? I am not certain how much longer I can watch this show to be honest... this whole storyline sickens me. What could vindicate the show for me at this point? Yes, let Taylor cry for a while, but let her gain control of herself. She's a decent well-educated gal, let her accept the fact that Ridge is a buffoon and let her go live a happy life with Hector. Ridge can be alone for all I care. He would deserve to be alone, but since Brooke is available, I doubt that will last, that is, unless he gets jealous that Taylor is with Hector and actively pursues her... and Taylor turns him down over and over again. That would be priceless indeed! sly @ 11:28 AM -----------------------------------------
WOW! I had to write 2006 in there and it felt weird! LOL. What to say
about this week's shows? The week starts with Stephanie comforting a fearful Felicia. It was the only scene this week with her. It was really quite a wonderful one too and I wished there had been more, instead we are subject to more drama. While Bridget was trying to reach a model ship to put in Dominick's nursery (and where is their little girl's nursery going to be? Hmmm...) she falls off a chair and she feared losing the baby. Instead, a surgery is done to shut her cervix and everything seems hunky dory. Brooke arrives all upset and Nick ends up hugging her-something that Stephanie sees and confronts Brooke about. It's the same old conversation we heard two million times before... yadda yadda yadda. On the
other side of town, Hector is fervently pursuing Taylor. He tells her he
cannot believe Ridge missed their first Christmas back together and she
defends him, telling him that he promised to be home for New Year's and
that she was planning a great night with him. While heading out Hector
runs into Darla and has a nice talk to her.
Just a little later, when Taylor is up in her bedroom taking her clothes
off (and what fantastic lingerie she had on! Holy Cow!) Hector reappears
telling her he cannot leave her like this. As he once more professes his
love for her, Brooke just enters the house without ringing the door bell
or anything. Supposedly she was going to bring over RJ to see his daddy.
When Brooke saw the fancy dinner set up and figured Ridge and Taylor were upstairs
celebrating, instead of simply leaving, she went upstairs to see them!
Good Grief. Hearing Brooke calling for Ridge, Hector hides in the
bathroom... just in the nick of time too, because Brooke just
"opens" the bedroom door! Does anyone think this is just...
WRONG? She thinks Taylor and Ridge are in the bedroom and she just opens the door?
ICKY! There is no ending to Brooke's tackiness! Taylor confronts her,
telling her how wrong it is to just waltz in other people's houses and
tells her that Ridge is not home. After Brooke leaves,
Taylor tells Hector to leave as well but he wants one kiss before he
leaves. As they kiss, Brooke, who hadn't left, opens the bedroom door
AGAIN and catches them in the act. The only other tidbit of storyline this week belonged to Darla and Thorne... they must be the sweetest couple in daytime. So lovey-dovey, so devoted. They are been gems to Sally and Darla seems to want Thorne to help her out and make her feel useful. Reading some spoilers looks like that's exactly what's going to happen, and I am only too happy to see it. I've always loved Sally and can't wait to see more... my secret wish for 2006 is for Macy to come back (from the dead? We never actually saw her die, so we don't know she actually died!) and make Deacon come back as well (since they were married) and finally getting little Eric back into the fold, who has been MIA. That's my wish for 2006-to resurrect the Macy/Deacon relationship/family. I know I am asking for a lot, but seeing how we got Taylor back this year, anything can happen! It's a soap opera after all!! Happy New Year everyone~! sly @ 11:52 AM
