Before you scroll down, please be forewarned that this page includes
several pictures of my son's wounds and blisters. These are not pretty pictures.
I am finally putting them up on his site to give family, friends, and people
in general an idea of how brutal EB is to my son and to every child afflicted
with this dreadful condition.

Nicky's damage on his face after a relatively 'mild'
fall (on carpet).
Skin got torn off his cheek, chin, nose, upper lip and inside his mouth.
 His left hand had surgery to release the fingers on 8/2002. 8 months later the fingers are still fairly straight except for the pinky and ring fingers. The index and middle fingers do straighten out quite well, but the wrist is always raw. |
 This wound on his leg has been there for over two years. Just as it looks like it's healing, it gets injured again and it takes months to get it better. |

 This is just one of the kind of blisters that Nicky gets. They can get even larger than this, leaving 2nd degree burn-like wounds. |
 His feet are always raw at the ankle and look like this 100% of the time. Unless a new blister comes up, like above. The only reason why he even has toes is because I always put 1" gauze in between them. |
His arms are always pretty raw... :-(
Below are pictures of Andy, he
also had Recessive Dystrophic EB like Nicky.
His mommy wanted to share his pics but unsure of where to put them-she wanted
them to be available to view for those interested in seeing clinical pictures
of him in an effort to explain what he webt through in a better way.
